The lack of quality music in R and B/ Hip Hop!

www.myspace.com/54233056 Do you remember the days when every R and B or hip hop song played on the radio was good? Well, I do and I can tell you this, hip hop and R and B music has definitely fell from greatness. Lets just compare these two genre's of music back in 2005.

Let Me Love You by Mario was number on the Billboard charts in 2005 for 21 weeks. This song was a quality R and B song that still gives me the chills when I listen to it.  Ciara ft. Missy 1,2 Step was the #1 hip hop song that year also. Both of these songs made sense and people could relate and connect with this music.  Now, lets fast forward to 2010 the number hip hop song this year thus far is Eminem's song featuring Rihanna Love the way you Lie this track has been number for 14 weeks. This song is hot but its just like every other Eminem track as of late Depressing! The track is about a female in a abusive relationship, I mean don't get me wrong I like the fact that its making an important point but it just lacks substance. Furthermore, the number R and B song this year is Bruno Mars Just the Way You Are, which has been number for 10 straight weeks. This track by Mars is decent it has the common melody with a easy song a long chorus but in my opinion its just another simple song. My point is everyone's going the easy route and just making simple music without deep meaning or values. What happen to putting thought into music projects?
